An authentic luxury dude ranch in the heart of the American West...

Tucked away in the mountains of Montana lies an ever-alluring old American fantasy, where you can become at home on the range without forgoing a drop of decadence. At the forefront of luxury dude ranches deep in the heart of the American West is the swanky Paws Up. Situated on a sprawling, 37,000-acre, authentic working cattle ranch in one of the most spectacular settings, The Resort at Paws Up knows luxury, and they’ve managed to master a perfectly posh yet unpretentious atmosphere.

The accommodation options are plenty – comprising of 28 luxury homes and 30 luxury camping tents. With panoramic vistas, the 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-bedroom homes are spread out throughout the property offering an uber sense of privacy. Rustic in design, modern in comfort – each luxury home comes with an extensive list of amenities including a complimentary car to make getting around all the more easier. Come summer, why go camping when you can go glamping? Odds are you won’t wake up in your sleeping bag floating in the middle of a nearby lake, á la Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap. The five-star full-service Tent City offers a range of rustic-chic safari-style camps that cater to families, couples, and groups. Sleep under the stars in fine linens, art-adorned walls, electricity, air conditioning, heat, and most notably a butler at your beck and call. And no need to worry, refresh yourself in a private master bathroom featuring a Montana-sized rain shower, jetted tub, heated floors and indulgent spa products. For those who prefer the home experience, but would like to toy with the idea of glamping, one of the Wilderness Estates has a tent right outside – giving you the best of both worlds.

There’s no shortage of things to do here, and if you can name it, Paws Up most likely has it. From snowmobiling, dogsledding, downhill tubing and ‘skijoring’ in the winter to ATVing, hot air ballooning and sporting clays in the summer, there’s no shortage of things to do here and if you can name it, Paws Up most likely has it. Saddling up has long been one of the West’s iconic experiences, so an obligatory equestrian excursion is necessary no matter the time of year. Many activities are inclusive in the rate, but keep in mind not all activities will be.

Adding more to the glamour during the warmer months is “Spa Town”, a unique collection of secluded tents nestled on the edge of a meadow. Welcome tents feature full baths and showers, and the individual treatment tents are sure to pamper you with a view to please.

Paws Up Dining.png

Dining at The Resort of Paws Up is also included in the rate, offering great options to choose from. Pomp Restaurant can best be described as refined rustic ranch – where world-class chefs create culinary innovations in an elegant atmosphere. Trough offers more of a Western flair, with hand-cut meats, local vegetables and other delectable options. After a day of adventure, unwind at the casual full-service bar Tank. For a more rustic experience, take fine dining out into the wilderness on the Chuck Wagon adventure, where you’ll have a scenic horse-drawn wagon tour of the Blackfoot River with an authentic fireside dinner.

If you’re torn on when to go, Paws Up hosts a handful of weekend-long events throughout the year – so have a look at the calendar and pick your poison!
