The French Open Championship, commonly referred to as the French Open or Roland Garros, is the world's most famous clay court tournament and is part of the world’s four major “Grand Slam” tennis tournaments held every year in France. For a two-week period, this championship is held at Stade Roland Garros, named after the famous French Aviator, in Paris, France. This annual tennis tourney is the most prestigious clay court event in the world and ends the clay court tennis season.
