EMILY PRENTISS
INDEPENDENT LUXURY TRAVEL CONSULTANT
Graduating Bucknell University with a wealth of personal travel experience, Emily Meredith Prentiss recognized that exploring places, cultures, and people of the world was her passion. In her senior year, she was fortunate to connect with fellow Bucknell alumnus, Kimberly Wilson Wetty, Co-President of Valerie Wilson Travel. Kimberly became Emily’s mentor, guiding her into the role of a Leisure Travel Advisor where Emily worked in-house from 2010 and then as an Independent Contractor from January 2018 through December 2022.
Emily, 34, is in her 13th year as a travel advisor. She is now affiliated with In the Know Experiences, powered by Global Travel Collection. Emily has visited over 50 countries (her favorites more than once) and specializes in world-wide luxury leisure travel, often focusing on exotic and emerging destinations. Her niche is one-of-a-kind hotels, generally family owned and operated.
As a Virtuoso Advisor, she provides the pinnacle of personalized service as every trip is specially curated and tailored to each client. Emily’s business is primarily repeat and referral based, with a diverse clientele including couples (honeymoons, babymoons, small groups), family and multi-generational travel.
Emily was awarded the 2016 Virtuoso Rising Star. She was invited and joined the exclusive Virtuoso Preview Advisory Board for the much-anticipated openings of both The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel in London (2019) as well as Cheval Blanc Paris (2021). In addition to expansive first-hand knowledge of renowned and hidden destinations, Emily has received certification as a Tahiti Specialist and is a Gold 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist. Early in her career, she was named one of the Top 35 Travel Agents Under 30 and was also featured in the New York Times article, “Are Travel Agents Back?” Emily was selected to participate in the inaugural year of Travel+Leisure’s Rising Star program in Cannes.
She frequently travels the world scoping out the best of the best for her clients. Emily expands her knowledge by attending conferences, events, and webinars to keep up with the ever-evolving travel industry. Nothing is more important to Emily than the power of the human connection, not only with her clients but with incredible industry partners.
Emily loves adventure but may easily be forced to relax. She lives for European skiing, frequents the barn to horseback ride and continues to swim many miles while at awesome destinations. Due to the recently enacted Austrian Citizenship Act, Emily has obtained Austrian citizenship... don’t worry though, she is not going anywhere!
