MAGGIE STEIN

VP, ADVISOR SUCCESS

After growing up in a family with multiple travel professionals, I began my career in the luxury travel industry immediately after graduating College in 2009. This was a time when millennial advisors were few and far between in the industry, which I saw as a great opportunity for growth and innovation. Starting out as a travel concierge, I quickly learned the ins and outs of planning a highly detailed and personalized itinerary, and never looked back. With a focus on the modern traveler and providing them with fresh ideas, unique experiences and exclusive access around the world, ITKE felt like the perfect fit for me to continue evolving in the travel space. Over a decade later I still thrive off the excitement of helping clients to plan their dream vacations, but I also am able to put much of my energy into mentoring and training our amazing independent advisors to learn the industry and grow their own businesses.

FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Indonesia is such an amazing destination that provides a true mix of beach, jungle, adventure, relaxation, culture and nightlife. Basically any kind of traveler could find what they are looking for there!

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: Palazzo Avino in Ravello, Vines Resort & Spa in Mendoza, Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla, Amanpuri in Phuket.

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Rwanda, Slovenia, British Colombia, Oman, Australia.

ON MY BUCKET LIST: Doing a completely food and wine focused trip through Italy to taste the specialties of each region and also learn to cook the dishes like a local.

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: Noise cancelling earbuds, a tinted SPF lip balm, Compression socks, and my own pen for filling out forms!

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: When traveling to a foreign destination, I always recommend booking a tour guide for your first full day instead of waiting until later in the trip. That way, you can get a thorough orientation from the start, instead of winging it on your own and missing out. Also, you can pick their brain for great tips and local suggestions to use during the rest of your stay.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: Travel, entertainment, good food and great experiences are what everyone works hard to be able to include in their lives. I am lucky enough to have a job that revolves around these things and making them realities for others. What’s not to love?

MY SPECIALITY: Getting to know my clients’ personal taste and interests and then being able to match them up with the destination or hotel that’s perfect for them.

FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Iceland and Colombia

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Bhutan, Galápagos Islands, Malaysia, Seoul, Egypt

ON MY BUCKET LIST: Japan (specifically with my sister so we can live out all our childhood obsessions), Singapore, Australia, India, Safari in Africa, Morocco, Vietnam, Thailand, and pretty much everywhere else I haven’t been yet

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: My iPad with numerous shows / movies downloaded (I don’t sleep on planes), a portable charger, and 2+ pairs of headphones (you never know when you’ll need to switch out).

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: Download your destination’s Google Maps offline ahead of time, this will help you get around whenever you don’t have WiFi or your LTD is lacking.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: I am an organization queen who loves planning every little detail. My passion for travel and hospitality started at a young age. I was able to foster that love through my education at Penn State and Cornell. From there my passion for the industry grew as I was able to explore nearly every behind-the-scenes aspect of hotels from my experience working at Four Seasons D.C., St. Regis NY, St. Regis Deer Valley, The Rittenhouse Hotel, and The Nittany Lion Inn. I ultimately found my home in the travel agency space, and I couldn’t be happier to be surrounded every day by like-minded travel aficionados.

MY SPECIALITY: Organization and personalization! I don’t miss a detail, so you’re never questioning what comes next.

ERIC ETEUATI

DIRECTOR OF ENTERTAINMENT TRAVEL

I’ve been in the industry for 7 years now starting initially on the Events side with high-end wedding coordination and logistics and eventually migrating over to the leisure travel sector. I eventually moved over to the Entertainment side and love working with our portfolio of clients servicing every travel need from music touring to their high-end personal leisure travel.

FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Greece (I’ve only barely scratched the surface of its beauty and all the different islands it has to offer).

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: Monteverdi in Tuscany. Any Villa on the island of Mustique. The Ellerman House in Cape Town. Amanzoe in Greece.

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: French Polynesia, Amalfi Coast, Singapore.

ON MY BUCKET LIST: Samoa, Istanbul, Indonesia, Switzerland, and literally anywhere else I haven’t checked off my “been to” list.

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: Portable phone charger, face moisturizer, travel size of Santal 33 from Le Labo.

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: Eat local! It’s the best way to immerse yourself in the community and get a sense of place. Also if there is a local market you bet you’ll find me in it.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: Every day is a new adventure with our clients and I love helping them plan and enjoy every minute of their travels. I also love the relationships we foster with our suppliers and the friendships that come out of those work connections – they are a vital resource.

PATTY CHRISTIE

ENTERTAINMENT TRAVEL MANAGER

PATTY CHRISTIE

ENTERTAINMENT TRAVEL MANAGER

After graduating college and dipping my feet in the corporate world, I realized I needed a shift in my career path. I have spent my entire life traveling and am so passionate about experiencing the world and different cultures that when the opportunity to enter the travel industry came across, it immediately clicked that this is what I should be doing. I started out doing leisure travel and instantly loved it as it felt so natural given my travel experiences. However, I was eager to try something different and quickly jumped to join the Entertainment team. I have spent the last 3.5 years planning concert tours and high-end leisure trips for our Entertainment clients and when I am not doing that, I am still growing my personal business to make one of a kind experiences for my friends and family. I truly love what I do and can’t wait to see where we plan your next trip!

FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Thailand, Japan, Budapest, & Amalfi Coast

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: San Ysidro Ranch, Montage Palmetto Bluff, Four Seasons Surfside, & Aman New York (when it opens)!

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Patagonia, Portugal & Machu Picchu

ON MY BUCKET LIST: I really want to travel to all 7 continents. I have been lucky enough to travel to 5 and have South America and Antartica left – I would love to travel to both in one trip!

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: My Amazon kindle, multiple iPhone chargers, Jenni Kayne cashmere sweat suit, Biologique Recherche VIP 02 mask, all the lip & hand creams (hydration while traveling is key!), and a lie-flat seat.

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: Do research on your destination before going. Carve out an afternoon when you can have the hotel or a driver drop you off far away (and safe of course) from where you are staying. Spend the day walking back to the hotel, without a guide or anyone, and getting lost in the city - it is the best way to immerse yourself in the country and their culture. Plus, you never know what hidden gems you’ll stumble upon!

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: I have been so fortunate enough to travel to some incredible places and I love being able to help others create unforgettable memories. I am constantly learning about fascinating new places and meeting so many different people that help broaden my perspective on the world. I am so lucky to be doing what I do and love helping people explore the world.

MY SPECIALITY: When I am not handling tours for our entertainment clients, I love working with my personal clients on finding what’s new and trendy. Things are constantly changing at every destination and it’s important to always be In the Know.

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: The Greenwich Hotel

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Japan, Norway & Scotland

ON MY BUCKET LIST: Safari in Maasai Mara & Cruise through Antarctica

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: Headphones, a good playlist, a good face mask & my phone.

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: Really enjoy yourself when traveling, don’t put all your energy into capturing the perfect moment for your social media. If you can, definitely put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” mode.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: I enjoy helping our clients and making their work a bit easier.

MY SPECIALITY: Coordinating travel for music tours both domestic and international.

CHRISTINA JOHNSON

ENTERTAINMENT TRAVEL MANAGER

CHRISTINA JOHNSON

ENTERTAINMENT TRAVEL MANAGER

My greatest passions in life include travel and music, so it’s fitting that I became a travel manager for touring musicians. Over the course of my career, I have focused on a variety of entertainment fields, and although I have only been in the travel industry the last 5 or 6 years, my wanderlust has been lifelong. Always fascinated by other cultures, my travels to over 50 countries have only made me want to travel more. I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead!

FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Budapest, Hungary. From the dramatic and historic architecture along the Danube River, to the spectacular thermal baths, lively market halls, and world class nightlife, Budapest is one of the most underrated cities in Europe.

HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: Phulay Bay, a Ritz Carlton Reserve in southern Thailand. From the moment you arrive at the majestic pagoda and reflecting pool, this place is stunning. Villas come with private plunge pools, butler service, oversized bathtubs, personal gardens, and outdoor baths, all steps away from the beach.

DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Iceland, Egypt, Malaysia, India, Argentina, and South Africa

ON MY BUCKET LIST: Seeing the Northern Lights, going on an African safari, and exploring the pyramids of Giza.

WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: A camera! Whether it’s just the one on my phone, or a digital SLR, I like to document every little detail. Re-living my travels through photos of the food, landmarks, locals, and candids of my travel companions, makes the memories endure and the experiences timeless.

BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: Plan ahead. This makes the most of your time while traveling, in addition to having access to flights and hotels that would otherwise be sold out if booked last minute. Scrambling to make decisions right before (or during) your trip limits your options, costs more, and adds unnecessary stress.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: It’s a combination of getting to be involved in the concert industry, which has brought me so much joy throughout my life, and getting to daydream about all of the exotic destinations the world has to offer.

MY SPECIALITY: Managing travel for touring entertainment groups. Whether it’s finding the most luxurious properties in the world for the A party, or arranging complex contracts for the dozens of crew members, entertainment travel always keeps you on your toes. Being able to roll with the punches and keep up with the last minute changes takes a lot of patience and organization, but no two days are the same, so you’ll never be bored.
