This well-known bridge over Lady Bird Lake houses the world's largest urban bat colony. At night, watch bats fly from beneath the bridge in unison to form an eerie, dark cloud. These are Mexican free-tailed bats, which migrate each spring from Central Mexico. Walking across the pedestrian-friendly bridge takes you to the South Congress neighborhood.
